“Bougie Sliders” (Blackened Salmon Sliders)

I love a good slider and even more than that I love SALMON. Sliders are always a win in my house my children love them and they’re easy to make. I love trying new things and mixing recipes and during this pandemic I’ve found myself creating in the kitchen a lot. This is a mix of sweet and spicy, I enjoy the flavor of a cold slaw on a warm spicy sandwich. The blackened salmon and sweet Asian slaw mix together nicely. This recipe is perfect finger food for entertaining or a quick meal for dinner. I hope you enjoy it and have fun making it.

*I would love to see your sliders, feel free to send me pictures via IG @deardesha_ *

How to make Blackened Salmon:

  1. Cut salmon in 1/4 pieces, small enough to fit on slider buns.

  2. Rinse and pat salmon dry.

  3. Season salmon with salt, pepper, and cajun seasonings (feel free to season with your favorite seasoning, I use onion powder and garlic powder with everything).

  4. Heat large skillet and spread oil around pan to until the whole pan is coated.

  5. Place salmon in pan and let it cook until you can see that it’s cooked about half way up, then flip salmon and allow other side to cook. Be careful not to burn salmon.

  6. After salmon is cooked remove salmon fillet to a serving dish.

  • Butter bun with butter and place in ovenfor about 3-4 minutes

Putting it all together

  1. Slice rolls in half (It’s much easier to but pre-slice sliders).

  2. Spread your favorite condiments on buns, I use my homemade chipotle mayo gives it a sweet and spicy flavor.

  3. Place blackened salmon on bun.

  4. Top with Asian slaw and whatever toppings your heart desire
